This week I had my third meeting with Wendy under circumstances that no one could predict. We are currently in a lock down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with no idea when we will be able to resume normal travel, or even leave our homes for anything other than essentials. As such, much of this weeks meeting was taken up with discussion of how I would continue my FMP while not being able to leave home.
Though first of all I shared my photographs from the Sauna with Wendy, and we discussed the aesthetics style of the sauna, and the ethics surrounding shooting in a such a place in regards to the owners who would want a level of privacy due to the nature of the business, to the people who attend such a venue who would want their own privacy protected.
Me moved on to talking about working from home, and creating imagery from home, and Wendy suggested I conduct research into the work of James Casebere who designed and created architectural models purely for the purpose of being subjects in his photography. Taking cues from the sauna I had visited I could begin to build my own models, and use them to explore the space.
