In this weeks meeting myself and Wendy discussed ideas around the final form and presentation of this project. I had mentioned that I had begun thinking about a website, and that I had previous ideas of a physical exhibition, however with the country in lockdown this was now all but impossible.
Wendy reminded me that that my PDF would also need to represent the project well, so I will now need to begin thinking about how that will be put together. Points to think about here will be the layout, the fonts, the progression through the work, and including mock ups of websites and potential exhibitions involved.
While discussing possible outcomes and ways of displaying the work, we talked about the idea of using the film to present the work. At this point Wendy recommended the work of Gillian Wearing to me, Wearing had filmed a small group of people opening up about very deep and personal secrets. They had done so while wearing masks, hiding their identity's had allowed them to talk candidly about the their secrets. Having asked people to be involved through the use of my questionnaires (Which at this point are standing to see some returns) it would be more than possible for me to create something similar, something a film inspired by wearings work. Wendy tasked me with going away to to talk to some of the people who complete the questionnaire and film some interviews via skype. She also recommended looking at the work of WM Hunt who did a project the unseeing eye
In terms of dealing with Covid and the lockdown: Wendys advice was to treat this as a major project proposal for a physical exhibition that will be happening after the MA. Everything must be covered, a project fully formed, ready and waiting to go ahead as soon as lockdown is lifted.
